July 2007 denotes the premier one of the greatest films to be produced in a while. TRANSFOMERS. Now upon completion of viewing the film for the 1st time, I stated that I cannot wait for the Academy awards, because ultimately no film can top automobile realistically transforming. Like u know WTF.
BUT I am sadden to see that the movie "The Golden Compass" won the category of special effects. :(. I mean yay the polar bear did look real but polar bears ARE real. TRANSFORMERS r not and the shit looked real. Polar Bears in a fantasy world or Prime and Megatron flying threw effin building in NYC. AHHHHHHH I am beefing with the academy on this one.
Not to mention the other film in the category was Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End.... I must walk away for a while.....
This is an atrocity. Well at least I called for the 2 films (transformer & POTC3) being in the running but I definitely has the actual transforming and creation of like 10 cybertonians to beat out the maelstrom (the whirl pool fighting sceen) in POTC. Like I watch the work put in to creating both and it was pretty darn amazing.
The Golden Compass was not in my equation...
